Academic Excellence is one of our chapter’s five areas of excellence. We pride ourselves in being among the top in grade point average here at East Tennessee State University. 

 

 

The Gamma Delta chapter of Kappa Delta believes that each of their members has the ability to succeed in the classroom and we push each member to strive for the best.

 

 

In doing so our chapter has put an academic excellence program together to not only reward our sisters for their success but to help them succeed as well.  This program rewards our sisters by giving small prizes each week for making good grades on tests, quizzes, and papers as well as the sister who has studied the most that week with the title of “Study Bug of the Week.” There are also many resources that we have set up using this program in which will help each sister as well including “Study Buddies” and references on classes and teachers.

 

 

Finally, Kappa Delta offers one of the best scholarship programs out of every National Panhellenic sorority. Each year, National KD offers more than $110,000 in scholarships, money that has been raised through our extensive alumnae base, outside donations and individual chapter donations.

 

 

The Gamma Delta chapter has been fortunate enough to claim many of its member’s scholarship recipients in the past few years. Our advisory board is always willing to write letters of recommendation for any of our members, and help out those members that are looking for internships in their areas of study. 
 

We truly believe that by pushing each other and helping one another to achieve our highest level of accomplishment in academics we are not only furthering the organization, but enriching our lives as well.
